Sitting in class listening to some filipino elders sing traditional filipino songs and tell stories about their lives and culture. I don’t think anyone understands how much I enjoy this. I was never really all about my culture, but hearing about it first hand from people who lived and grew up in the Philippines makes me wish I knew more about it. These lola’s make me miss my lola too. I hella want to call her and thank her for everything. Okay, i’m on a rant right now, but I’m just glad they take the time out to come here and share their stories with us (:
